About this section
In this section you can find out how to get involved with Autism West Midlands, including fundraising activities, volunteering opportunities, membership and events.
Lets work together!
Working with us, here at Autism West Midlands, means that you are working directly with the thousands of families that we support every year. There are currently around 60,000 people living with autism in the West Midlands and it is our mission to provide support to all of those that need it. You can be a part of that mission.

Superfast IT have once again shown their support for Autism West Midlands by signing up for the challenging Wolf Run this year. The event took place in early June and the superfast team took part in this muddy 10km run to raise much-needed funds for us.
“We always like a challenge here at Superfast IT so once again we signed up for the Wolf Run....It wasn't easy, it was VERY muddy but we got through the 10km run unscathed (just about!)!”
“We would like to say a massive thankyou to Autism West Midlands team for their great hospitality. We were all so impressed by the service that they provide”. - Jenny Akers Business Development Manager, BT
A team of kind hearted, hardworking staff from BT volunteered their time at one of our residential services and helped them to transform one of our gardens into fantastic vegetable plot! The plot will now be used to grow tasty vegetables to be enjoyed with meals.
“Many people do not understand autism and its effects on those with the condition; Mahirs Experience wants to raise awareness by supporting Autism West Midlands”. - Dina, Mahirs Experience
Mahirs Experience are an award winning catering and event management company, specialising in providing authentic Indian cuisine, together with complete event management for both private and corporate events.
The Mahirs team have taken part and organised many fundraising events for us here at Autism West Midlands, from a Snowdon Trek to dress down days and their very own competitive football tournament. As an established outdoor catering company they also donate a proportion of the income that they get from their tasting sessions to us. We are very grateful for their support and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
Mahir’s have raised well over £2,500!
Sainsbury’s chose us to be there charity of the year 2015/16. Over the year we have hosted awareness days and bucket collections, and some of the employees have even got their very own autism dedicated tattoos!
Even though our partnership has ended, we continue to work with Sainsburys, by hosting regular support groups for parents and carers, which are beneficial to both Sainsbury’s staff and customers.
Together we have managed to raise an amazing £3,204.51!
