HomeServe Fundraising

31st October 2018

We were delighted that HomeServe UK, based in Walsall, contacted us earlier in the year to say they had chosen us as their Charity of the Year!

The HomeServe team have been working really hard raising vital funds for our charity. So far they have raised funds supporting World Autism Awareness Month during April and also ran their first out of work Quiz Night.

A team of staff organised a trek up Mount Snowdon and blew through their fundraising target raising £1053 on this event alone!

Two staff took on a ‘Great Escape’ challenge, trying to get as far away from head office as possible without spending any money, where did they get to? Denmark!

They got donations from other staff members to get them to Stansted Airport and then managed to get free tickets to Denmark and back!

They raised £625 on their Just Giving page as sponsorship!

Another pair, Rosie and AnnMaree also did a ‘Great Escape’ challenge raising funds and their Just Giving page is still climbing!

HomeServe look on course to raise lots of funds for us this year, enabling us to support autistic people and their families at every stage of their journey from getting a diagnosis to finding tools and strategies to lead a fulfilling life.

On behalf of Autism West Midlands we would like to say a big thankyou to the HomeServe team.

There are lots of ways companies can work with us to improve the lives of people on the autistic spectrum.  Our experience of working with businesses means we’ll find great opportunities for companies and staff to work with us. Find out more about our corporate opportunities below:
