DESCRIPTION:Teen Autism Confident is an 8 week program for DIAGNOSED autistic teens aged between 13 – 18 living in the Birmingham and Solihull areas \n\n\n\n\nTeen Autism Confident is a free 8-week program\, with one-to-one meetings for participants on the first\, 6 group sessions and one online short feedback and games session. The courses have up to 10 participants per program. \nThis course offers an opportunity to learn more about autism in a small\, supportive\, group setting. It provides an opportunity to discuss individual experiences\, hear the experiences of others\, and identify strategies that could help in your day-to-day life. \nWho can attend: \n• Teenagers (over 13 years) with an autism diagnosis \n• Your post code comes under Birmingham or Solihull council. \n• You are able to commit to attend weekly sessions. \nThe group sessions are 1.5 hours for teenagers. They cover \n1. Understanding Autism \n2. Social Communication \n3. Sensory Awareness \n4. Anxiety \n5. Self-esteem\, Self-image and happiness \n6. SUMMARY:Worcester Wellbeing Walk for Autistic Adults
DESCRIPTION:Book Here \nJoin us for our Wellbeing Walk for Autistic Adults living in Herefordshire and Worcestershire at Worcester Woods. A perfect opportunity to meet other autistic adults\, talk to staff from Autism West Midlands and enjoy nature in a calm and relaxing setting. There is no expectation to talk or socialise and you are welcome to bring along a camera to take some pictures of the scenery or binoculars to look for wildlife. \nUnfortunately we are unable to accommodate the participation of children under the age of 16 for this event. \nOur walk is scheduled from 11am until 1pm\, however we will not always walk for the entire 2 hour period. Should the walk finish early you are welcome to make use of the small cafe at Worcester Woods\, however\, staff will not remain with you during this time. \nWorcester Woods can be easily accessed by public transport and car. There is free parking on site as well as a small café and toilets. An Autism Specialist Advisor will be leading the session and be able to provide information advice and signposting to services if needed. \nIf you would like further information about Worcester Woods please get in touch with us and we can send across an information document we have put together including information about the venue including photos and how to spot us! DESCRIPTION:Book Here \nJoin us for our Wellbeing Walk for Autistic Adults living in Herefordshire and Worcestershire at Worcester Woods. A perfect opportunity to meet other autistic adults\, talk to staff from Autism West Midlands and enjoy nature in a calm and relaxing setting. There is no expectation to talk or socialise and you are welcome to bring along a camera to take some pictures of the scenery or binoculars to look for wildlife. \nUnfortunately we are unable to accommodate the participation of children under the age of 16 for this event. \nOur walk is scheduled from 11am until 1pm\, however we will not always walk for the entire 2 hour period. Should the walk finish early you are welcome to make use of the small cafe at Worcester Woods\, however\, staff will not remain with you during this time. \nWorcester Woods can be easily accessed by public transport and car. There is free parking on site as well as a small café and toilets. An Autism Specialist Advisor will be leading the session and be able to provide information advice and signposting to services if needed. \nIf you would like further information about Worcester Woods please get in touch with us and we can send across an information document we have put together including information about the venue including photos and how to spot us! DESCRIPTION:A face to face group for AFAB/Women over the age of 16 who identify as autistic and live in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire area. \nOur Worcester AFAB/Women’s Social Group is a safe and trusted space for autistic women over the age of 16 living in Herefordshire and Worcestershire to socialise and communicate with one another. \nWe will provide tea\, coffee and biscuits but please do let us know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements! \nEach session will focus on a different women’s health topic\, such as menopause\, sexual health\, periods\, or other areas of wellbeing. During the first half of the group\, we will explore the chosen topic together through discussion\, sharing information and experiences\, and providing signposting to relevant support and resources. The second half of the session will be dedicated to socialising in a relaxed and welcoming environment. A range of optional activities will be available\, including board games\, colouring\, arts and crafts\, and more. There is no pressure to take part in any activities—you’re welcome to engage in whatever feels comfortable for you. \nIf you would like further information about the location of our group please get in touch with us and we can send across an information document we have put together including information and photos about the venue as well as travel information. \nDue to limited space booking for this group is essential! We also politely ask you to make us aware of any medical conditions you may have.
