Autism and Anxiety – Online Conference – October 2020 – SOLD OUT

We are sorry, this event is now sold out.
For parent/carers and professionals in the West Midlands region supporting children and families.
Our postponed Shropshire conference will take place on-line, with expert speakers delivering webinar sessions that will appeal to parent carers and professionals from across the West Midlands.
You can join the sessions live or view the recordings later at a time to suit yourself.
Each session will last one hour.
Dates: 5th, 7th and 9th October 2020
Times: 1 hour sessions start at 9:30 am, 11:30 am and 1:30 pm
Over the three days we will…
Day One – Monday 5th October
9:30 am – Keynote speaker Corey Wood on his personal journey with autism and anxiety.
11:30 am – Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Children with ASD and anxiety – Dr Lisa Williams, consultant clinical psychologist, The Autism Service.
1:30 pm – Autism and Behaviour workshop – Wendy Cowton, Autism Specialist Advisor, Autism West Midlands.
Day Two – Wednesday 7th October
9:30 am – School, Anxiety and the Autism Spectrum – Helen Reidy, Specialist Advisory Teacher, Woodlands Outreach Service.
11:30 am – Supporting Anxiety in Children and Young People, with Practitioners from BEAM, The Children’s Society.
1:30 pm – Managing Sensory Needs and Developing Motor Skills – Sue Horobin, Independent Specialist Children’s Occupational Therapist
Day Three – Friday 9th October
9:30 am – Moving into Work, support for autistic adults in the workplace – Simon Fraser, Autism Specialist Advisor, Autism West Midlands.
11:30 am – Spoon Theory and Autism – Emma Hegenbarth, Autism Specialist Advisor, Autism West Midlands.
1:30 pm – Student Support at University – The Student Support Service and Disability Inclusion Team, University of Chester.
