Image about the event

Teen Autism Confident via Zoom

we have a couple of places left!

This programme is open to any teenager resident in the Birmingham City Council area.

The programme will include two one to one sessions via Zoom; one prior to the commencement of the programme and one at its conclusion.

The group Zoom sessions will be running over a period of 3 weeks, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6.00pm until 7.00pm, commencing on Tuesday 18th August, with the final session being on Thursday the 3rd September. The one to one sessions will be held the week before.

During the 1:1 Zoom session, which will last only about 20 minutes, you will have the opportunity to meet the staff who are going to be delivering the workshops and we will be able to share a bit more information regarding the content of the sessions. It will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Topics include:

So What is Autism Anyway? (& Special Interests); Social Interaction; Anxiety & Emotional

Regulation; Sensory Issues & Independence; Self Image & Self Esteem;

Transitions & the Future.

Please note that if your young person does not feel confident in speaking out over zoom, there will be no pressure to talk-there is a chat panel which can be used should they

prefer this method of communication.

We will be sending out a folder and material which supports the programme prior to commencement via post.
