The St Paul’s supported living scheme was opened in March 2003.

This innovative project was jointly developed by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council in partnership with Autism West Midlands.

St. Paul’s provides individualised support in eight self-contained flats, on a single site, to autistic adults with behaviours of concern. The aim of the scheme is to provide a supportive environment to enable people to live as independently as possible.

The registered manager takes responsibility for maintaining and developing a site of excellence in the support of the people who live at St Paul’s. Each person receives an individualised structured package of care and support that best suits their individual needs. We are located in a residential area with excellent access to many local amenities.

Residents at St Pauls are supported to plan and cook their own meals and go shopping with staff to local supermarkets to select what they need. They also attend regular activities and outings in the local community.

Staff at St Pauls regularly host events for the residents to promote different cultures and religions of people within the homes and from the local community. Residents enjoy spending time in the large garden area at the service which hosts a large trampoline and various outdoor activities that are on offer as well as doing various craft activities.

Residents also often come together in the communal areas to enjoy music, films and group meals.
