Autism West Midlands have been awarded a new 3-year contract to provide befriending services for autistic adults living in Walsall. The service offers people the opportunity to meet others and get involved in carefully selected activities that help people to feel less isolated and more involved in their community. Operations Manager, Henry Webster said “ We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded with this contract. We know how important it is for people to be able to meet others, socialise and enjoy doing things in the community”. The service is expertly managed by Loren who, along with staff and volunteers, offer friendly and welcoming groups helping people to build their confidence, meet others and enjoy fun activities. The service is funded by Walsall Council.
