The Poplars opened in 2001.
It is a residential service providing 24-hour care and support to five adults, both male and female, with autistic spectrum condition and associated disabilities.
Set in leafy Selly Park, the home boasts a large shared lounge area where the residents like to gather together and watch television and do crafts. It also boasts a large garden where staff and residents relax and enjoy spending time outdoors and doing gardening.
Residents at Poplars also have access to gym equipment to promote a healthy lifestyle and keep people active within their own home.
At Poplars, independence is promoted and encouraged wherever possible. Support is delivered in line with the residents wishes and people have regular access to activities in the local community which are important and meaningful to them. Residents at Poplars are always given the opportunity to express their wishes and goals and staff support people to achieve these.
