In Birmingham we offer:

Information, advice and support to autistic adults and/or parent carers of adults by phone email or face to face meetings.

Groups- Daytime and evening social opportunities for autistic adults

Support groups for parents/carers of children and parents of autistic adults via Zoom, social media or face to face.

Our Birmingham adult service is funded by Birmingham City Council. To use the service, adults must live in the Birmingham City Council area.

Autism Confident programmes offer people insight into their autism within a friendly and supportive environment.

Autism Confident programmes are funded by Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Provider Collaborative. Teenagers and adults attending the programme must have an autism diagnosis or be on a waiting list for one and live in the Birmingham City/ Solihull areas

Our support to families with autistic children does not receive statutory funding and is currently supported by Autism West Midlands fundraising.

Parent/Carers of autistic children (or children awaiting diagnosis) can benefit from advice/support sessions and groups.  We also offer parent/carers with group learning through our “Rising to the Challenge” programme. Our information helpline, downloadable resources and free online webinars are available to people of all ages in all West Midlands areas.

Solihull Community Services

In Solihull we offer:

Autism Confident programmes for adults and teenagers. Autism Confident programmes offer people insight into their autism within a friendly and supportive environment. Autism Confident for Adults and Teenagers is funded by Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Provider Collaborative. Adults or teens attending the programme must have an autism diagnosis and live in the Solihull area.

An adult discussion group which meets monthly, followed by a visit to a local pub for a meal and social opportunity.

The adult discussion group is funded by Solihull Council, to attend adults must be over 18, living in the Solihull Council area and have an autism diagnosis or seeking a diagnosis.

Individual advice and support for parents/carers of children within Solar services is available by phone email or face to face meetings. Training workshops are also available for parent/carers of children who are part of the Solar service.

We are a partner in the Solar Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service funded by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. Families need to be known to the Solar service to access our support. Parent carers and/or young people can self-refer to Solar if they are under 19 and have a Solihull GP.
