Our Community Supported Living Service provides specialist support that enables an autistic person to maintain independence, develop relationships and learn new skills within the community.
For those individuals who may experience difficulties around anxiety and/or frustration, we have our own in-house Behaviour Specialist and Senior Autism Trainer who is able to provide advice, support and guidance to both yourself and the staff that support you ensuring the best outcomes for you are maintained.
We successfully support individuals to live in their own homes and work with housing providers across the West Midlands to seek suitable accommodation for them. We work closely with you, your family, the Local Authority, your Social worker and health professionals involved in your care.
We also work in partnership with assisted technology providers to enable greater levels of independence. We will identify areas of risk or concern where assistive technology may result in effective support. This may include the use of flashing fire alarms, flood detectors, magi plugs and emergency buttons. We have also supported people to access equipment such as epilepsy mats/sensors and communication aids.
The service can support you in many areas of life, such as:
Independent living skills
Community activities
Access to health care and appointments
Access to education, employment and training
Developing and maintaining relationships
