Autism Champion Training

Do you work with autistic adults or children? Do you have autistic colleagues within your workplace? Is your work environment inclusive and accessible to all?

We are offering an excellent opportunity for all professionals, volunteers or people working within the community to become Autism Champions.

The sessions will be run by Lyn Young, a talented and engaging trainer, and will be hosted online via teams so you can join from anywhere that suits you.

“Many thanks for the autism awareness training, I found it extremely beneficial. Your delivery was brilliant, and the way you incorporated your own experiences made the session especially engaging and insightful. It really helped to bring the content to life and deepened my understanding. Thanks again for such a valuable session”.

“I found the trainer Lyn very knowledgeable and kept attendees engaged with the training.  She also gave plenty of opportunities for attendees to contribute. Helps having a trainer that is an expert by experience”!

“The sensory profiling tool will be very helpful. The list of internet characters who have ASD will be useful to follow up as well, thanks.  I have a fair amount of experience of high functioning ASD, but to hear of the tips and tricks to navigate communication with those who are in sensory overload/meltdown, or who are non-verbal was helpful”.

The training provides insight into how autistic people experience the world differently. The training aims to enable better understanding which in turn can help make things more accessible to autistic people. Participants will be able to champion autism within their workplace and cascade knowledge and good practice.
